Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Big On You

Hello Again!
Well I am getting slack - not blogging everyday, I do have a good excuse. I have been extremely busy with classes, wedding invites & debutante invites.
I had a free hour so I thought I would make a quick card.
I have only used this set once and thought I better have another go at it.
I love Blues and Black so I stamped onto Vellum with Versamark then heat embossed in White. I adhered this panel to a piece of Whisper White stamped using the Something Lacy background stamp in Black.
For the base I have stamped the Something Lacy with Versamark and Clear Embossed.

I hope you like this card.

Guess What!!
There are four new products being released in the Saleabration Catalogue on March 1st.

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Guy Greetings

Hi All!

Do you find making cards for the men in your life hard? Well I certainly do but with this new set "Guy Greetings" from the occasions catalogue I am finding it a lot easier. There are 22 stamps in this set and I find they are awesome.
Check out this standing Z fold card which amazingly created in about 1/2 an hour, now how great is that.

Measurements for this card:
Base:
One 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Always Artichoke card stock for base
One 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP for inside base
One 4" x 3-1/4" Very Vanilla card stock for inside sentiment
2 x 1-3/8 circles punched out & glue together for strength
Front Panel:
One 4-1/2" x 3-3/8" Lost Lagoon card stock
One 4-1/4" x 3" Early Espresso card stock
One 4" x 2-3/4" Very Vanilla card stock

Base Score lines:
Score at 5 1/2" then flip over and line up at the 1/4" mark on score board an score at 3" to create your Z Fold

To add the circle, line up to the middle at the top and add a brad to hold to base.
To make car stand up, first layer - Adhere Lost Lagoon to lower part on folded base, then with the Earl Espresso adhere using dimensionals that way there is a gap to slide circle into.
Decorate as you wish

I hope you like this card

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Artisan Embellishment Kit

Morning all!

Quick post today as I am meant to be getting ready for a class, it's like me to leave things till the last minute.
On these cards I have used the little Die cut panel from the Artisan Embellishment Kit available from the Occasions Catalogue. You get 2 in the pack and I previously used one on a card and new I was saving this one for some reason.
Credit for this technique goes to Patty Bennett which I seen her post on Stampin Cafe.

Lay the Die cut on to surface you want covered and lightly sponge over to get the beautiful Rose's background.

I hope you like these cards!

Shabby Chic Flower Shop

Hi again everyone!
Today I wanted to make a shabby chic card and started out making the flowers in Blushing Bride, I actually don't know how it came about but it switched up to Marina Mist.

I so love playing with flowers and when a great company like Stampin Up have matching stamp sets and punches it makes it so much easier!

Below you will find a brief product list of the main items used to make this creation.

I hope you like this card.

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Love Is Kindness

G'day!
Yes I have been MIA for a couple of day's sorry, but I wasn't feeling the best. Well I am certainly back on track this morning and have made three different cards for you today using the same stamp set.
With Mother's Day coming up I thought I would make these cards, can also be used for Birthday's.
Love Is Kindness is a gorgeous stamp available from the Occasions catalogue till 31st March 2015 so be sure you don't miss out!

I hope you like these cards!

On this card I have stamped two images and fussy cut around both, coloured with Blendabilities. I then layered one behind the first to add extra flowers. Background is stamped using the Dictionary stamp on a piece of Basic Gray for main card and Smoky Slate for flower piece.

On this one I have heat embossed in White, background for main card is Something Lacy heat embossed in Black

I love how this turned out. I have heat embossed in White then coloured the outline with Blendabilities

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Hello You Thinlits

Hello You!

Well I never want to buy any sort of word thinlits or intricate dies as I always have trouble getting them to release and they end up wrecked.
I had seen youtube videos about the Dryer Sheet technique and yes it worked a treat but here in my part of the country I could only find scented ones and they tend to leave a film on both card stock and acrylic plates.
Then I heard about using bubble wrap and oh my goodness this is super easy.
Hence I am not deterred in buying these "Hello You" thinlits and I love them!

I hope you like this card

These are the words in the pack

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Berry Basket

Hi All, me again...Who likes Hot Air Balloons, me but I wouldn't go up in one - scared of heights lol

I wanted to make to something thing different and when I seen the Berry Basket from the Occasions catalogue I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I love how my Softer tone Hot Air Balloon turned out - although someone will eventually make a better version ;) Here you will find my first and second attempt - second is better

I did cheat a little by using my Brother scan & cut machine to cut the balloon shapes as Stampin Up don't have framlits the size I wanted. You will need 8 of these shapes, sponge then fold all of them in half. Glue each half together leaving the last one open to thread ribbon through, then glue together. Punch a small hole half way up on every second fold to thread ribbon to connect basket.

Cut out and assemble the Berry Basket. Stamp & cut all the balloons from the Balloon Bash stamp set, using clear acetate adhere to bottom of basket using mini glue dots. Now decorate as you wish.

I hope you like this project!

This is the first attempt!  Arghh

Second attempt turned out much better, also figured out how to get a better
shape for the balloon
